Our First Six Months

David and I married on June 30, 2007. Since then we have moved to Fort Worth where he is continuing his work towards a Master of Divinity degree at Southwestern Seminary. I also got the blessing of a job in Fort Worth as a first grade teacher at Burton Hill Elementary. It's quite different from my kindergarten job in Springdale, but I am enjoying the challenges and success stories that come from it. David has begun work as a youth minister at a small church in Granbury, Texas called Mambrino Baptist Church. We were blessed by this so much because God placed a great church right in our laps. David and I have much to learn from the people of this church. Since June we have been to Disneyworld and to Fayetteville a few times (our wide world of travel). I (Erica) have managed to ride 2 roller coasters at Six Flags. If you don't know me that well, that is a big deal! We have watched the Hogs go through coaching changes and McFadden make another run for the Heisman through ESPN. We also often get to hear some wonderful mariachi music from our neighbors at 2:00 in the morning. We also found out that we get to be an aunt and uncle. Crissa, my sister will be having a baby boy, Robert Henry, sometime in March. Keep on the lookout for a spoiled baby and his aunt! We will have been married six months on December 30, the day that David gets to preach in a church for the first time ever.
